Pretty amazing patio awning. Looks/works great

Looks exactly like the photos online. You WILL need a masonry drill and bits if you're home is stucco and putting it onto a concrete floor. the 11x27 units requires at least 3-4 people to get standing up because of it's weight. Super happy with it! (Originally posted at "Homedepot.com")

    Nice-looking structure

The arbor is a great addition to our home. The 4 easy steps is a bit deceiving. There are many substeps to each step. Instead of 2 people, I recommend 4. We completed it in under 8 hrs. Also the manual has 2 types of arbors on adjacent pages - make sure you’re following the correct build. (Originally posted at...

    We love this patio cover!

It gives us protection for the weather, but still allows light in. It is also very sleek and modern. (Originally posted at "Homedepot.com")

FAQ

It is the consumer's responsibility to ensure all planning requirements are met. You might not need planning permission for a garden structure or building if it qualifies as permitted development. However, it's essential to check with your local planning authority before starting any work. When Planning Permission is Usually Required:
  • If the structure or building covers more than 50% of the area surrounding your house.
  • If the structure or building is located on the front or side of your house that faces the road.
  • If the structure or building is in a conservation area and is more than one story high.
  • If the structure or building is higher than the highest part of your house's roof.
What is a Permitted Development: Your structure or building might qualify as permitted development, meaning you won't need planning permission, if it meets certain conditions, including:
  • The structure or building is located at the rear of your home.
  • The eaves of the structure or building are less than three meters high, especially if it's less than two meters from a boundary.
  • The eaves of the structure or building are lower than the highest part of your home.
Remember that you'll also likely need building regulations approval for any work, even if planning permission isn't required.

The sound of the rain makes a nice ambient sound, also depending on the rain’s strength. *The rain noise is not loud. It is actually quite soothing. Doesn’t bother anyone in this house at all, it’s just a little ping noise. Kind of like one of those rain sticks noise makers.
The posts and beams are paintable, please refer to the warranty.
The patio cover’s back beam is app’ 4.6 inches wide.
Yes, it can be mounted to truss ledger, as long as its structure is long, wide and strong enough. We suggest checking this out with a local expert / constructor.
Yes, the polycarbonate panels are high impact resistant and withstand hail.
Yes, it can be mounted on to vinyl sidings, make sure you mount it on to the wall studs and use suitable screws and plugs.
Yes, a grill may be used under the patio cover, as long as it is a reasonable distance from the panels, it should be fine. Please make sure you follow the manufacturer’s safety advice and keep a safe distance.
